Unbeatable location for the price compared to anything else in Alesund. Very central. Nice hosts, shared all instructions on time. Apartment has all the basics you need: bed, hot water, electric kettle, etc. it is not fancy or luxurious, but again, for this price it is amazing.
There are roof windows which can be used to see aurora if it happens. 5 mins walk from the airport bus stop.
I would 100% recommend if you’re on a budget.
Overall wear and tear. Nothing is new. Bed is super soft. Apartment smells slightly like an old place. 4th floor with no elevator might not be perfect with heavy bags. Kitchen facilities were ok, but the non-stick pan is so burned and scratched that it is hazardous for your health with all PFAS shedding off it. The other less scratched pan doesn’t work with the induction stove and there’s no adapter.
