A wonderful family chalet with everything you need

Overall beautiful lodge and would definitely stay again. Cathy was a very kind host, thank you.

First time in the Lake District with friends, the lodge is in a great location with a beautiful river running behind the property. Clean interior and outside on the decking with generous complimentary snacks which were great for 4 people. Well decorated and felt very homely.

Too cramped, dirty and not clean, smells of disinfectant coming back through the shower which is unsettling.

We were appalled by how unclean the place was, it was greasy and hadn’t been cleaned for some time, the patio is under a lot of trees and had not been swept so there was debris everywhere. The place itself is very small and we kept banging our elbows on the walls. The television was connected to the internet but not to a cable so we didn’t have any signal for daytime television only Netflix which we don’t sign into on other devices for safety. Both myself and the neighbour opposite were harassed by the people across the way, because we are smokers who are apparently not welcome members of the public.
