The property itself was beautiful. Probably one of the prettier condos we’ve stayed at. It was clean and furnished with ample item provided for personal use although we packed most of our own personal items. It was comfortable, quiet and the walk out to the beach was short and easy.
There were a few different problems that we ran into with this property from day one. On the very first night, the fire alarm went off twice. Between my husband and I, we were able to limit it down to one specific outlet which caused a spark when I plugged my Dewalts USBC adapter in. The room had a static smell which I assume was what set off the detectors. I reached out to the management team and they said an electrician came by to look everything over and deemed it “safe” and said we could go back to using the outlet. When I went to plug the TV back in in the room, the outlet below the TV had a light blue spark and so to air on the side of caution, I just charged all of our devices inside the kitchen. The knob inside the bathtub inside the main room has the hot and cold gauge backwards and I lit myself up before figuring out that hot is actually cold and cold is actually hot. Thankfully, I was the first one to take a bath and was able to warn my kids (6 and 9) before they took a bath of the minor mix up. The microwave dish doesn’t spin which caused food to heat unevenly. To make up for this, we heated food in one minute increments and would open the door to physically turn the food. I’d also reached out to the property manager about the TV in the other bedroom and I have two boys who likes to sleep with some background noise. Unfortunately, even after the electrician came out to look at it, we could never get it to work or get pass the “check out” screen so we just left it alone. The condo itself was lovely but these little inconveniences had everyone a little irritable.
