The hotel is new. It is located in Gombe, one of the most secure areas of Kinshasa during daytime, which is a real advantage for a stay in the city. The welcome was excellent and the staff were very attentive and always ready to help. The restaurant was very good, and the breakfast was generous, with a wide selection of food. The hotel also has a nice and well-equipped gym. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well, which is particularly appreciated given the local climate, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable and of good quality.
On the downside, the swimming pool is quite small and feels more like a large outdoor plunge pool or sunbathing area than a proper swimming pool.
The surroundings of the hotel are not particularly suitable for sightseeing. Even reaching the Congo River requires going through a rather run-down area, and the riverbanks themselves are not very clean or developed for tourists. Traffic in Kinshasa is notoriously difficult, so I would strongly recommend having a driver who knows the city well and is familiar with the best routes. Journey to the airport can take 1 hour or more.
