This is the most idyllic and restful location imaginable, with a dreamlike wooded rural farm backdrop and primeval wilderness surrounds. The ease of getting around made the location perfect, yet it is a tranquil getaway. The cottage itself is in a timeless style taking advantage of light and views, with all modern conveniences and excellent kitchen for self-catering. Spectacular local wildlife includes kangaroos and kookaburras that seem perfectly at home. The night sky of southern Victoria is utterly majestic, a vivid panorama to be savoured in a bushland setting that is still close enough to the city. One of the most picturesque pools imaginable outside the cottage mirrors the sky and its changing moods. The nearby Yarra River offers fantastic bush hiking, and the historic goldfields town of Warrandyte offers great cafés, riverside walks and the fascinating Pound Bend Tunnel. A wonderful and rejuvenating escape!
