Everything was amazing. Just an amazing place to stay at at the end of a long day of hike. The host is super responsive and nice, the house is easy to find and has everything you might need. And the food for sale was a life saver for us. Would definitely stay again

Nice house in a slightly remote location. Host Masako was lovely - friendly, responsive, and helpful. Very quiet and peaceful. I would stay again.
The road to the house is a little tight at night. You really need a car to get too and from the house (which is clearly explained and something I expected).

The house is very conveniently located, right in the heart of the Kumano Kodo. The host is incredibly kind, friendly, and communicative. He genuinely cared about making sure we were happy with our stay and was always quick to respond and help.
However, the house itself is old, very neglected, and poorly maintained. The level of cleanliness was unacceptably low, and there was a terrible smell coming from the toilet. Overall, the condition of the house is completely unacceptable for the price charged.
