Overall, this vrbo was a disappointment. Starting with the positives, the location was close to a nice park and two tube stations for easy access to more central london. The beds were clean, plenty of restaurants nearby, and a sainsbury down the street for quick essentials. Unfortunately, there were a number of difficulties with this stay. The key was a 5 min. walk from the VRBO, which was a pain when bringing luggage, the Wifi did not work, nor did the clothes washer. The shower head was broken in the bathroom, and the tempature was inconsistent. Finally, the place overall was clearly rundown. The biggest issue with the rental was the lack of response from the host. I reached out several times, and VRBO reached out several times as well. I have yet to hear back from the host. They also don't mention that they will hold 400 deposit for potential damages. I will update if they attempt to not reimburse me.

Great value for location and 4 bedrooms. 1-2 blocks to two different underground stations, bodega across the streets and food places all along the street. It's above a business so no upstairs or downstairs neighbors to worry about. Not super spacious other than the bedrooms.
PRO: Location, value, availability of food, transit, grocery items, Having bedrooms for our group of 7 was delightful. Kitchen had all the things we needed. Hair dryer and bedroom fans provided. Clothes washer was nice touch. Felt like a safe place and a safe street. Key pickup, although 2 blocks away was 24/7 availability and pretty slick in and out.
Wishes: A welcome booklet explaining how the washer, shower, heat, wifi, and TV work would've been REALLY nice. It was super chilly our first night and there was.a dance initially to get the hot water on in the shower as well. Things are a little different for those of us coming from across the pond. Management was really quite kind in helping us via text but would've been nice to avoid the anxiety to have it written down and not need to pester them at all hours of day and night.

This place was in a pretty good location - it's minutes away from multiple Underground stations, two major train stations, and a bus stop. If you like Indian food, the block it was on has multiple options for you. It was a short walk to the lovely Regents Park and the British Museum too.
The host was very quick to respond to questions and issues we had and fortunately had multiple fans in the flat that helped keep us cool at night as the temperature was much warmer than usual for London.
However, there were quite a few negatives about the flat. First, it was a bit dingy. There was mold on the ceiling in the shower room, the carpeting had not seen a good cleaning in a long time, and the flooring was poorly installed. Not what I would hope from something at this price point.
Also, this was obviously not a true VRBO, because the owner was not a resident, just by the fact that this flat was missing some basic conveniences that any long-term resident would notice as necessary. Two of the bedrooms had absolutely no storage, the bathrooms lacked shelves for toiletries (where am I supposed to put my toothbrush?), there weren't enough towel hooks, there wasn't enough extra toilet tissue, the mirrors in bathrooms that had mirrors were mounted at unusable heights for humans shorter than 6 feet, the door to one bedroom was not able to fully close, and we saw a mouse in the kitchen on our first night (there were electronic pest devices throughout and the host did say that he would address the mouse issue when it was communicated to him). Finally, it would have been nice to have a booklet or binder with restaurant recommendations and neighborhood features provided.
All of these issues are eminently fixable. We didn't have an unpleasant experience in this flat, but we could have had a much better experience, especially for this price.
