The Code Hotel

Great location. Very clean room. Nice spacious unit with balcony. The cafe was not yet up and running but looks nice. Staff were friendly. Note - the main entrance is off a busy road so the best way to get in unless you’re walking/biking is through the garage (valet service provided there)

We loved the cleanliness of the property. The inside is beautiful, and loved how it was decorated! The only drawback is that it’s very loud from traffic and outside noise even though it’s in a quiet area. You can hear everything outside all night. It seems like something isn’t insulated with windows or walls. We had to use the earplugs they provide in hotel to drown out some of the sound, and even then you can hear every car. We were bummed about that, and we wish the hot tub was heated for guests. They don’t keep it heated.

Great hotel - had a full kitchen and washer and dryer in suite, was a nice touch.

The Code is a fantastic option if visiting the Austin area, we stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The building looks to have been conceived as an apartment block, therefore the rooms are very well appointed with all of the integrated features you would expect if living there - full kitchen, washer and dryer (Including some laundry pods) - which was fantastic. The hotel is located on S Lamar Blvd which we found to be a convenient base to go and visit various Austin attractions. We utilised the valet service and found the valets to be very pleasant and helpful. We would absolutely recommend the Code to other visitors and would return if visiting Austin again.
