The renovated living room was spacious and featured a large, comfortable sofa. We also appreciated having three powerful air conditioning units that kept every room well-cooled, along with convenient amenities like a washing machine, iron, and hair dryer. The contactless check-in instructions with step-by-step photos made our arrival seamless. The apartment provided plenty of sleeping space and a large terrace accessible from every bedroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with tableware, and the location was within a 25-minute walk to a very nice local beach.
Our main issue was the host's stressful, unprofessional behavior and clear platform violations. Before arrival, he asked for an off-platform deposit via PayPal. During our stay, when a friend joined us last-minute (which we fully settled and paid for), he mentioned monitoring us on security cameras, which was deeply unsettling for a group of young women. He then pressured us to mark the stay as a "no-show" so he could evade Booking.com commissions. When we refused, he became rude and aggressively insisted on coming to the apartment immediately to collect cash in person. Beyond the host's conduct, the property has severe hygiene issues: one bathroom had extensive black mold across the shower walls, floor, and curtain, creating a foul smell, zero ventilation, and a genuine health hazard that left the bathroom unusable. On our first night, a bed frame collapsed repeatedly, forcing a guest to sleep on the sofa until the host repaired it the following day. The neighborhood felt unwelcoming with stray dogs, the entrance door jammed constantly, and having only one key and elevator fob for a large group meant frequently using a stairwell to the third floor. Finally, most electrical sockets did not work, the dishes were dusty and needed rewashing, the fridge was far too small for a group, and the coffee machine required specialized capsules that were not provided that were impossible to find in local stores.
