The hotel manager and staff were extremely accommodating after it was discovered that my bookings.com booking was not a legitimate booking, and they had not record of us arriving! Still, they took us in! The service they then provided was terrific as was the food...outstanding. I would definitely recommend this boutique hotel. Pool was amazing!
The fact that Bookings.com confirmation was not legitimate! And it seemed that most of the hotel was under renovations getting ready for peak season. Several unfinished items including no televisions, but this was only a minor thing really. Possibly the biggest surprise was it was difficult to find due to the booking not being legitimate and the area surrounding the venue was not at all appealing. Fortunately, this makes the hotel feel like an oasis.... expect for all the trash in the lake.

Hotel by itself is very nice, well maintained, looks beautiful. From hotel there is a beautiful view at a small lake. Beds are comfy, staff friendly, owner is kind and charming.
Location is horrible. Surrounded by garbage. Locals dump their trash at that “beautiful lake” there. GARBAGE is everywhere. On map it looks close to the Nile river promenade, however, it is located on a back street with no asphalt, behind other houses, no proper street access to the promenade. If you walk, you’ll walk on a dirt road, through trash. Or take a car and close your eyes and nose.
From the rooftop there is no view of the Nile river, as was mentioned by someone in their review. only at some buildings and on the other side, mountain and the lake, which is clean in front of hotel, but full of trash 20 m further.
This amount of trash surrounding the hotel is very disturbing.

A little correction, this hotel's naam is Lake House Hotel, not LA Hotel Luxor. It is a little paradise created by mister Hassan on the Westbank of Luxor, near the river, close to the ferry to the other side and along a beautifull little lake full of fish and birds. He and his superfriendly crew do everything to make you feel at home and cared for. The food they prepare is delicious (highly recommand the shrimp pizza), large breakfast, nice drinks and all reasonably priced. They also organized a great New years' Eve party with big buffet, live music and dancers. Been in Luxor quite often but this was my best experience up till now hotelwise. Go, you won't regret it and don't want to leave anymore.
The wifi is fast but not very dependable and often down. But they solve the problem directly by providing a wifi hotspot on their own mobile phones for you.
