Step back in time and unwind at Powder Creek Cabin at Grettum Farms, a charming 1800s farmhouse nestled among the rolling farmland and forests of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Rich in local history and surrounded by nature, this cozy retreat offers the perfect escape for couples, families, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking peace, privacy, and authentic Northwoods charm.

The farmhouse comfortably sleeps up to four guests and features two inviting queen bedrooms, a full bathroom with a shower, and rustic décor that reflects the property's heritage. Gather around the wood-burning fireplace for a cozy movie night, or enjoy the collection of board games and puzzles that create lasting memories with family and friends.

Upstairs, the loft offers a peaceful reading nook, a queen bed, its own electric fireplace, and views overlooking historic Lutz's Corner—a reminder of the area's rich farming history.

Step outside and explore 20 private acres of countryside. Snowshoes are provided for winter adventures, allowing guests to wander the property and experience Wisconsin's beauty in every season. Wildlife sightings are common, and the quiet surroundings make it easy to relax and reconnect with nature.

Directly across the road lies the Fish Lake Wildlife Area, a remarkable 14,000-acre Wisconsin DNR property featuring wetlands, forests, pine and oak barrens, and a 1,200-acre wildlife refuge. While exploring the area, keep an eye out for the historic Grettum School and Grettum Church, treasured landmarks that tell the story of this unique community.

Outdoor recreation is abundant year-round. Grantsburg is known for its extensive network of groomed snowmobile trails, providing access to hundreds of miles of scenic riding. Snowmobile permits are required and can be obtained through Wisconsin's Go Wild program.

Just four miles north, the welcoming town of Grantsburg offers restaurants, shops, and small-town charm. The nearby town of Frederic, located to the east, is another great destination for breakfast, local dining, and exploring the area.

Conveniently located on State Highway 87, getting here is easy—but leaving may be the hardest part.
