Rooms are clean. Neighborhood is decent.
After trying to self-check in 3 times in a row, the codes provided still weren't working. This is was very frustrating situation for me because not only that I was extremely tired, I had an important meeting on that day and needed the room as soon as possible to get ready for a meeting on that day. I know they have a special line to resolve these situations, but given the fact that I came from another country and that I had no phone service, I wasn't able to communicate with nobody on time. At the end, I chose to stay elsewhere and asked for a refund out of frustration because on top of all this, the TV in my room wasn't properly working. It was not a unpleasant experience for me.
Also, the deposit takes forever to be returned to your bank account. For people who are traveling on a budget, this can be an uncomfortable situation. Like honestly, if it’s going to take that long, at least make the amount lower than that. $125 is a lot of money for a deposit.

The location was great for me. I know Philly well, and wanted to be in the Queen Village/Bella Vista area.
The property’s public areas are also clean and well-maintained. The decor is simple, modern, and inviting.
When I contacted SoSuite for help online, they were usually quick, helpful, and spoke English well.
I mostly felt safe and it mostly wasn’t noisy.
No staff onsite and basic amenities is a great concept but only if the amenities actually work and people can find basic supplies when they need them: eg toilet paper and towels. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case.
As other reviewers have noted, there was basically no hot water. Showering was very uncomfortable. The AC didn’t seem to work properly either: it never reached the target temperatures I set. When I needed more supplies, they weren’t there.
My room was full of mosquitoes, despite the fact that the windows were closed. I couldn’t get rid of them, whatever I did. Being bitten all night … not fun.
Privacy vs light was an issue: the windows facing out to the street aren’t tinted in any way. If you’re in a room with windows you need to keep your blinds down fully all day.
There are real issues with having no staff onsite. On one occasion, a noisy alarm was ringing all night and well into the morning. Despite several calls to the remote help desk, no-one did anything about it until around noon the following day. I could imagine things getting really out of hand if an intruder tail-gated someone into the building - which is incredibly easy - and caused a disturbance. Luckily nothing like that happened.
