Peridot Golden Sand offered value for money and provided everything we needed for a comfortable five-night stay.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and having a self-contained kitchenette with a full-size fridge, cooktop and microwave makes it ideal for longer stays.
We appreciated the complimentary on-site laundry facilities, which is good for long-term travellers.
The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and for the price we paid, it proved to be a practical and convenient base for exploring Koh Samui.
The property is beginning to show its age and would benefit from a refurbishment, particularly the room furnishings and kitchen equipment.
We also found the swimming pool's location directly at the front entrance less than ideal, and the notice regarding separate electricity charges could be confusing for guests, so it's worth checking the conditions of your booking before arrival.

Leicht in die Jahre gekommenes Bad, etwas lauter weil direkt an der Straße gelegen
