The property itself was spacious, nicely decorated, and thoughtfully restored, with most of the essentials provided for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was excellent—close enough to walk to everything we needed. Parking was also convenient and within easy walking distance, which was a definite plus.
The only real downside inside the apartment was the mold in the shower and a bathroom that wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Another major issue was the air‑conditioning. It didn’t work the first night we arrived, and although the landlord brought us a fan and tried to help, the AC only worked after resetting the breaker twice. Even then, if we adjusted it even slightly, it stopped working again. We were told no technician could come until August 24—even though we checked in on the 16th—which was disappointing. Fortunately, we checked out on the 19th. While we understand that the initial failure happened on a Sunday and was an unforeseen circumstance, there should absolutely be a Plan B when temperatures rise above 90 degrees, such as having a portable air‑conditioning unit available. Telling guests that it simply couldn’t be fixed for eight days was unacceptable.
Overall, the property had charm, comfort, and a great location, but the cleanliness issues and the prolonged air‑conditioning problem made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
