The property was perfect for our stay. Small in size but everything you need. Very clean and comfortable.

No working tv but this was being resolved, hosts were great at responding to contact and tried all they could to get the tv working.

The rooms were somewhat clean, check-in was easy and the location was peaceful and private.

The rooms were not very clean. The oven was not working, making cooking difficult, and the shower was very small. The property is isolated, far from shops or restaurants.

Disappointing property, but lovely and helpful staff on site We paid around £250 for a five-night stay and unfortunately the property was not ready or fit for purpose when we arrived. The lodge was still being cleaned late at night, was extremely cold with windows left open, and initially had no hot water. There were also several cleanliness and maintenance issues, including a dirty fridge, mouldy food left in the microwave, and electrical faults which meant the oven could not be used and caused food we had bought to spoil. This resulted in additional expense and inconvenience as we were unable to self-cater as planned. I do want to stress that the housekeeper and site manager were genuinely lovely, apologetic, and did their best to help during our stay. Unfortunately, the condition of the property itself let them down. What was most disappointing was the lack of proper resolution afterwards. Despite the extent of the issues and the cost of the stay, I only received £18.90 credit via Booking.com and no refund or compensation from the owner or Sykes. Overall, a very disappointing experience due to the condition of the accommodation, although the on-site staff were kind and professional.
