Het huisje zag er tiptop uit en was gezellig ingericht. Een persoonlijk briefje en een welkomstkoekje voor onze hond maakte het helemaal af! Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien en dichtbij bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Rustige buurt en vriendelijke mensen. Zeker ook een aanrader voor mensen met honden, gezien er verschillende wandelroutes vlakbij zijn.

Everything about Holmlea Cottage was wonderful! Katy and Geoff were outstanding hosts: kind, friendly, immediately responsive, and very helpful. They have clear instructions in a book in the cottage, access is very simple, the cottage is beautifully appointed, comfortable, peaceful, and cosy. Everything you could possibly want has been provided: kitchen implements and some basic supplies such as seasonings, bath needs - I have to point out that the bathroom even included flannels (washcloths) - quite possibly the only time in all my travels in the UK and Ireland that's ever happened! - and the bath/shower water pressure and temperature were perfect - not always the case! Everything was made very easy. There is a Spar store within a few hundred yards that had everything I needed to make meals - even the Spar staff were friendly and helpful - and the small village of Freuchie is utterly charming and quiet. A fantastic stay!
Follow Katy's advice and park in the lot! Backing out is tricky, and I managed to try it on garbage day!🤣
