Mixed feelings, a lovely place but terrible experience.
The property is in a good location, with good window/balcony views. House deco is stylish too, with modern sofa and chair, cute lights, and many indoor plants around the house.
There were many issues happened during my visit which eventually made us decided to shorten our stay. Firstly the place was full of smell lingering when we entered, from entrance to bedroom to living room. We thought it might be from the cookings of previous visitors, so we opened all the windows as we could but the smell lingers until next morning. Then the cooking stove is really slow to heat up and the heat is extremely low heat even when on the highest heat. We couldnt do any proper cookings except some basic soup. The dishwasher was not working. It kept giving E2 error code when we tried. The property contact person was responsive and helpful and had arranged a technicial to come and check, and the person checked and confirmed there was some leakage in the pipes behind. But the thing broke me was the bed bug bites. We woke up to many bites on our waist and our thighs for two nights. Initially we thought it might be mosquito bites, until the second night that we realised these bites are bed bug bites. The patterns and location of bites, and the fact that i was fully covered in blanket and yet getting them consistently, and these bites appeared during the sleep, and we found a tiny blood stain on bedsheet around our waist area, it was horrible. Not sure if we were super unlucky this time with this place. The place itself is lovely, and the contact person was helpful, but all these other issues really destroyed the whole experience of this stay. And I paid almost NZD500 for these two nights.
