It was in a wonderful location very close to the beach and restaurants. The room was lovely and spacious, very clean. What really made this place was the lady who runs it. She’s wonderful and very helpful! Would definitely recommend.

We had a brilliant stay here. The room was very clean and the host was fantastic. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning and even organised a bike rental for us. The WiFi was also the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka which was great since we had both job interviews while staying here.

Sri Lankan Hospitality at Its Absolute Best ❤️
Our stay at Seaside Serenity Resort in Dikwella was another wonderful example of why Sri Lanka is so special when it comes to hospitality.
As usual, we were welcomed with a warm smile from our host along with a refreshing welcome drink—which was especially thoughtful considering how much hotter the weather was down south compared to Nuwara Eliya and Ella.
Our first impression of the room was exactly what we had hoped for. It was beautifully clean, neat and comfortable, with a great shower, a lovely bathroom and, of course, a beautiful balcony that added to the overall experience. But honestly, it was the hospitality that made this stay truly memorable.
Here’s a perfect example.
We had a safari planned for early the next morning at 6 AM. We assumed we would be back by around 10 AM, so we told our host that we would have breakfast once we returned. But, as life usually goes, things didn't quite go according to plan. We ended up getting back to our room only around 12 noon.
What we didn't know was that our host had already thought one step ahead.
She had taken the contact number of our tuk-tuk driver and asked him to call her when we were on our way back from the safari. That way, she could start preparing our breakfast before we arrived.
Honestly, this left us speechless.
She could have very easily told us that breakfast wasn't possible at 12 noon, and we would have completely understood. Instead, she went out of her way to make sure we didn't miss our breakfast. And it wasn't just some simple meal either—she prepared an absolute feast for us! 😍
And once again, we got to enjoy another incredible Sri Lankan breakfast. It was delicious, generous and clearly made with a lot of care.
The location of the property is another huge plus. Hiriketiya Beach is just about a 10-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the beach and all the wonderful spots around the area.
