Located just off Highway 61 in Schroeder, Minnesota, this newly constructed cabin offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and contemporary comfort, along with breathtaking Lake Superior views from the home’s lake-facing deck.
Inside the home has an open layout living area on the upper level. Complete with a living room with stone surround gas fireplace, a spacious modern kitchen with all the amenities, and a dining area with a view of Lake Superior. The upper level also has two bedrooms, one en suite, and then another full bathroom.
Downstairs you will find a second living room ideal for games, movies, or a kid-friendly hangout. Plus, a rejuvenating infrared sauna, perfect after a day of biking the nearby Gitchi-Gami State Trail. The lower level also has a third bedroom and full bathroom, bringing the total to three bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus an additional sleeping area in the lower level living room.

This was a perfect house for our family's trip to the North Shore. The house was clean and had everything we needed! Check-in was super easy and we appreciated the email from the host checking in to make sure everything was as expected. Our kiddos liked the game room and we all had fun doing one of the puzzles at the house. We enjoyed day trips to areas along the North Shore, but there were also lots of great hikes close-by. We would definitely stay here again!One thing for future travelers to know is that not all the restaurants nearby are open 7 days a week; we visited in June and assumed everything would be open. We did spend a day in Grand Marais and picked up some extra groceries; it was incredibly convenient that the house had all the cooking utensils we needed! We did love Schroeder Baking Company for coffee each morning and Coho Cafe & Bakery for breakfast (they were both open every day). Thanks for a great week along the North Shore!!

Cross river cabin was great! Kid friendly and pet friendly. The big yard was a plus and the driveway had enough room to turn around our trailers. The beds and furniture were comfy.The views from the cabin were amazing, definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise over the lake.
