The location of the house was lovely not to far out but far enough to feel relaxed

Unfortunately, I wish I had taken the previous negative reviews more seriously before booking this property. The biggest issue appears to be the way the property is managed. It seems the house is cleaned after one group leaves and then simply left until the next guests arrive. By the time we arrived, dust had settled again, debris had blown into the pool area and the property did not feel prepared for incoming guests. The beds were technically “made”, but this literally consisted of a sheet being put on the bed – you are effectively left to make the beds yourself. For a house advertised as sleeping up to 12 people, the kitchen equipment was ridiculous: approximately four plates, two bowls and four glasses. Cutlery was dirty, the kitchen drawers were dirty, and although the bathrooms and floors appeared to have been cleaned, there was no attention to the overall cleanliness or presentation of the property. The outside area was particularly disappointing. A pool beds broken, the whole area felt tired and in need of maintenance, and I actually had to remove weeds from around the pool myself so that the children could access it safely. Even more concerning, gas canisters mentioned in a previous review months ago were STILL in the bin when we stayed. That tells you a lot about how thoroughly this property is being checked between guests. The iron was also broken. We reported it and were told a replacement would be dropped off. It never arrived. What makes this more frustrating is that I specifically contacted the company before our stay because I had read the previous reviews. I was reassured that these problems would not happen to us. Unfortunately, they did, including issues that had apparently been raised months previously. Communication also feels extremely impersonal and automated. At times it genuinely feels as though you are dealing with AI or somebody sitting in a distant office rather than a management company that actually knows the property, inspects
