I enjoyed staying here with my family. The place was very clean. I thought I was renting one 2BR bungalow, but it was actually a duplex with two completely separate apartments side by side. This worked for our family situation, but if you are a family with young children expecting to all be in the same apartment, this may not work for you. In combining these two apartments, you actually get 2BR, 2BA, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, & 2 separate front and back entrances. Each front entrance has a different key code, so this may be difficult for families with younger children. The place was very clean and I was impressed with the marble counter top in one of the kitchens. However, there were no washers or dryers (and no on-site community coin laundry) and there was no dishwasher. I was disappointed about these 2 things, but honestly I didn't look closely at the property listing, so it may not have included them in the list of amenities, but I just assumed all VRBO listing would have these utilities included. They even supplied laundry detergent under the sink, but there was no laundry machine to be found. Kind of bizarre in that way. When visiting the Charleston, we like to swim and go to the beach, so there is always a lot more laundry to do than usual, so this was actually a big inconvenience for us, but if you don't need those utilities, I highly recommend this rental as an affordable, practical, comfortable, and very clean option. It's on a 2 lane road. Quiet w/ great AC.
