The location was easy to find, parking spaces in the nearby roads and if you give your registration number it will all be ready for you digitally so no need to pick up a permit. You will get further information on which roads to park in. There was cereal and fresh milk and filtered water in the fridge on the first day, and plenty of teabags, hot chocolate and Horlicks, with coffee pods for your stay, a real treat. So convenient for a 5 minute walk into town with all the history, beautiful shops, cafes and restaurants, with many restaurants even closer within easy walking distance for an evening meal, I would definitely stay here again.

I found this room excellent, but hadn't realised it was a self-contained basement to the front of the house and I would sometimes be wary of this as a solo traveller, but I found it to be very secure and I felt extremely safe here. It is in a lovely, quiet part of town and the room itself was very cosy and welcoming with an ensuite toilet and separate shower, TV, Wi-Fi.

Comfortable and quiet, really convenient for sightseeing in the city, very helpful host

Really lovely, comfortable property, well presented. Excellent location for visiting Winchester. Would definitely recommend.

Instructions on how to operate the shower! It wasn’t clear how to get the hot water to work. Really minor thing though because everything else was excellent.

Very comfortable bed and a good shower

No meals provided - which was expected, and just fine, BUT there were no plates, bowls or cutlery provided to enable self catering, and there were no eateries nearby from which to obtain breakfast, or other meals. The only natural light in the room was from the glass entrance door panes (no other window), and the open door was the only source of ventilation. When closed - overnight - the room was a sealed box. Room lighting was switched only from the entrance doorway; it could not be operated from the bedside. (Also the bedside lights could not be adjusted for reading - they pointed only at the floor). The kettle could only be operated on the floor near to any available power point (and the kettle was difficult to fill from the attractive, but rather impractical bathroom sink). The Wi-fi access password was displayed nowhere in the room; it had to be retrieved from a Booking.com email message sent on behalf of the property sometime earlier.
