This is the ideal base for exploring Winchester - so close to the railway station, fabulous restaurant choices and the high street. Would have stayed here every time we come to Winchester if we had found it before! Will definitely stay again - so comfy, so clean. We stayed in the room right up until 11am checkout as the bed was too good to leave!

As mentioned by some others, it could do with a handrail down to the front door. No biggie though - just go careful if you are in your 70s like him, and on the way back from the pubs!

Lovely and clean room, was great for a 1 night stay. Had everything we needed. Nina communicated well and parking was a bonus too. Great location and comfy bed.

Very comfortable bed and a good shower

No meals provided - which was expected, and just fine, BUT there were no plates, bowls or cutlery provided to enable self catering, and there were no eateries nearby from which to obtain breakfast, or other meals. The only natural light in the room was from the glass entrance door panes (no other window), and the open door was the only source of ventilation. When closed - overnight - the room was a sealed box. Room lighting was switched only from the entrance doorway; it could not be operated from the bedside. (Also the bedside lights could not be adjusted for reading - they pointed only at the floor). The kettle could only be operated on the floor near to any available power point (and the kettle was difficult to fill from the attractive, but rather impractical bathroom sink). The Wi-fi access password was displayed nowhere in the room; it had to be retrieved from a Booking.com email message sent on behalf of the property sometime earlier.
