Dirty caravan, weekend away ruined!

Location.. nothing else!

The caravan was dirty inside and out. An incident had happened the night before between a couple and the police were involved. Due to the nature of the incident the caravan should of been deeply cleaned Mandy the owner said it had been and was in “perfect condition” - the office where you collect your keys from confirmed it hadn’t be cleaned as the police couldn’t let anyone in to do so. And when we arrived the police were still there taking fingerprints on the bedroom! My son, daughter in law and granddaughters drove 3 hours back home that night as they didn’t feel safe staying there with the young girls due to the nature of the incident and the uncleanliness of the caravan. I was too poorly to drive home (and my husband is disabled and can’t drive) so we stayed in the living room and luckily I took our own bedding, I drove us home the following morning. Mandy is delusional to think that caravan is clean as you will see in pictures. Coincidently she had a man come and clean the carpets on the day we checked out with us only staying one out of two nights so must of been aware how dirty and stained the carpets were. We were meant to have a lovely weekend away celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with our family (and it would of been my husband’s last holiday as he’s terminally ill) and it was just ruined. I understand the incident with the police was out of Mandy’s control but to lie about it being cleaned, clean in general and expecting guests to stay in a caravan where such an incident took place is outrageous! Mandy should of let us know first thing before we set off travelling and saved us a wasted journey and petrol and the main office said she knew about first thing in the morning, as she’ll probably deny that too!
