The apartment was great on all accounts. Everything is new there - we were lucky to be one of the first few guests. The apartment is laid out on two levels. The top level is the entry hallway, a small bathroom and a large fully equipped kitchen and a large terrace which was great in the morning. We had breakfast and coffee there - and then the lower level houses the bedroom, the large bathroom as well as some storage closets and a small anteroom with a TV. The lower level has no windows and a very comfy bed which meant we slept really well.
Poor wi-fi reception below is the only real though not significant (for us) pain point.
The "no windows on the lower level" part might be an issue for some people and might become a problem later, if mold starts to pop up. We didn't have either of these problems though.
Drive/climb from main road is steep. Again not a problem for us, but word of warning if you're not comfortable driving or walking up narrow steep hills.

L'appartamento era di nuovissima ristrutturazione e con elettrodomestici e aria condizionata al TOP. Gli spazi erano ottimi, è doveroso sottolineare che era su 2 piani: al primo ingresso, 1 bagnetto senza doccia, soggiorno con cucina e uno splendido balcone dal quale si dominava la città di Elounda e l'isola Spinalonga; abbiamo trascorso splendide serate cenando e godendo della vista e della tranquillità del luogo. La vista era solo in piccola parte impedita da una casa in costruzione. La zona notte e il secondo bagno con la doccia (molto bello) era al piano inferiore che non aveva finestre; è giusto segnalarlo anche se per noi non ha rappresentato nessun problema essendo splendidamente condizionato ( a noi bastava accendere la sola deumidificazione), estremamente silenzioso e protetto dalla luce della mattina. Una menzione doverosa alla grandissima gentilezza dell'host Livio e di Carmen che ci hanno supportato in ogni momento con grande professionalità e attenzione rendendoci il soggiorno ulteriormente piacevole. E' la terza volta che veniamo a Creta e vi assicuro che non si può prescindere dalla zona di Elounda e Agios Nikolaos.
Il primo letto matrimoniale con biancheria e materassi assolutamente di altissima qualità. Il secondo letto era un divano letto, dove dormivano i miei figli, e non era assolutamente all'altezza del primo. Non lo troviamo adatto a due coppie, anche se la zona giorno è dotata di un secondo divano letto.
