Glad we stayed here!

Great appartment for a couple. Couldn't get a better location. We were here for the Fringe Festival and everything was at the doorstop.

Some tea/coffee would have been appreciated.

Good location, scruffy dirty dont recommend

the only good thing is the location, as it is right next to the castle

The apartment is in very bad condition and dirty. The floors where really dirty and very cleary hadn't been cleaned, there was alot of debris and even cashew nuts on the floor so no attempt to clean it had been made. The bed sheets didn't fit the bed so on parts of the bed the mattres was exposed, the pillows whether filthy and didn't have pillow cases on them. Plug sockets hanging off the wall, kitchen cupboard hanging off, shower held up with what looked like a plastic bag which didn't work and it fell down everytime you tried to use it, I dont think the place had been dusted for years, the cooker was still dirty from who ever had used it previously. The blind was too short for the window and had tape on it. Wallpaper coming off the wall. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and missing grout everywhere. I also think that only giving the key code at 2.50pm when you check in at 3pm is ridiculous, and the instructions given to find the apartment where terrible. I did try to contact the host to tell them the condition of the apartment. I reached out via booking.com whats app and sms but had 0 response from anything.

Excellent place to stay for the old city, everything in easy reach

Location was amazing - I had not appreciated how close to the castle it was. Be prepared for bagpipes though, if you are there in high season. Bed was v comfortable, kitchen has everything you need. Also, be ready for it being three flights of stairs up - but then you get a great view of the tattoo

Bathroom is a little tired

Location

Entering the staircase up to apartment was a shock, floors filthy, paint peeling off walls and cobwebs too. Shabby apartment. Could do with some TLC. Sofa had seen better days, leather? Covering tore away, dirty armrests and very dusty at back of seats. Socket hanging off wall next to TV, beading and skirting boards around flooring all wore away and peeling paint, around whole apartment, shower tied up with plastic back, hinges holding shower screen hanging off wall, top and bottom, black mould around bath. These things didn't give off the best comfortable stay we were expecting. Made it feel dirty and shabby.
