The villa was very clean, spacious and modern, with plenty of room for our group. The pool was a good size and we really enjoyed the outdoor space. Overall, the villa was comfortable and we had an enjoyable stay.
A few things could be improved, particularly for a villa sleeping up to eight people. One bedroom had no air conditioning and became unbearably hot during the warmer parts of the day, and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the furthest bedroom. The hot water also ran out when several people showered one after another.
There were only five sun loungers, limited shade outside certain hours, and the kitchen could have been better equipped with utensils and baking trays for a larger group. There were no mirrors in the bedrooms, very little bathroom storage, hard pillows and no washing line or airer, which made drying clothes for eight people difficult. A few extras such as board games would also have been a nice touch.
The pool needed topping up and unfortunately the water was left running, causing it to overflow and making the surrounding area slippery. There is also a considerable unprotected drop from the pool area into the lower garden, which is worth being aware of if travelling with young children.
We arrived late and there was no bottled water or welcome pack, which would have been appreciated after travelling. The 10am checkout was also quite early for our later flight. We asked about a later checkout or somewhere to store our luggage, but unfortunately neither could be accommodated.
We were asked to keep outside noise down, which we respected, although there was considerable noise at times from neighbouring properties and an adjacent building site.
Finally, taxis can be extremely difficult to get on the island. This isn’t the villa’s fault, but it’s definitely worth planning transport or considering a hire car.
