It's a good hotel, with good beds (and fantastic matresses), very clean and polished. The overall judgement about our stay is absolutely positive - after two days crossing the Altyn-Emel park, we needed a working shower and a proper bed and we had both.
For some mysterious reasons, when asked for suggestions about dinner, the concierge shipped us to the restaurant adjacent to the hotel's main hall. It's been the most horrible dinner of our life (we've both got food poisoning and been sick for two days), with bad quality food cooked by people who clearly were confused about what a steak should be. This I don't understand: WHY sending clients to such a bad place? Is it so difficult to be objective? And no, it wasn't "an unfortunate accident" because when you're served a T-bone steak that has the consistency of a block of concrete, it means the cook doesn't know his job.
Second bad thing: music in the corridors for the whole night. We had to call the reception to had it stop. People, at night, usually SLEEP. Please respect some resting hours.
