Eleeza Homestay has been the best and warmest stay me and my partner have ever experienced. It was more than just a stay for us.
From the very start and throughout our stay, the owners Nelson and Sherine were both incredibly welcoming, helpful and caring, always looking after us and sharing wonderful recommendations for places to visit in Kochi. Sherine and Nelson prepared the best freshly cooked Indian breakfasts and masala tea for us. The food was different each day, and it was clear how much effort Sherine put into letting us experience traditional Kerala and Kochi dishes. It was such a special part of our stay, and we appreciated it so much. Sherine is genuinely an amazing and passionate cook! They were also always checking in on us, making sure we were okay, enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. We felt like their family and at home, genuinely.
Also, it was our first time travelling in India, so at times we felt a little lost trying to understand how things worked and how to organise our trips. Nelson was so helpful throughout our entire stay and even after. He arranged a taxi for us directly from the airport to the homestay, and when we had trouble getting cash on arrival, he helped us cover the payment and sort everything out on the spot. Whenever we had difficulties communicating with drivers and organising further trips, he would speak to them on our behalf and help us organise things and resolve issues. Both Nelson and Sherine speak excellent English, which made everything so much easier for us.
The homestay itself is wonderful too. The location is great, the house is beautiful, the room has everything you need. The AC and fan worked perfectly. The bed was exceptional - we slept like babies, better than at our own home! Drinking water was always made available for us, even extra bottles for trips, which we really appreciated.
We feel incredibly lucky that our first experience in India introduced us to such wonderful people.

The homestay was excellent, the hosts were extremely welcoming and became like family within just 2 days. We loved every minute of our stay, and Mr. Nelson and his wife went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Added to that was the lovely breakfast that made our mornings even more exciting.

We stayed at Eleeza Homestay with Auntie and Uncle — Nelson and Aliza — and they were incredibly kind and helpful from the first moment.
They helped us with everything: arranging a private car, a boat trip, restaurant tips, and even booking seats for Kathakali, the traditional Indian dance performance. Uncle went there in advance to reserve places for us, which was far beyond what we expected.
The homestay itself is beautiful, clean, and very welcoming. We were welcomed with a free dinner and only paid for breakfast. They also helped us with laundry, which we really appreciated.
After a more difficult experience in North India, staying here felt warm, calm, and almost like being with family. Auntie and Uncle were truly our right hands during the stay.
Fully recommended.

I stayed for a week and it was delightful - Nelson and his family really take care of guests and make you feel at home. It’s a large family home with guest rooms upstairs; it’s one of the cleanest guest houses I’ve stayed in anywhere, let alone India, and it’s in a peaceful location close to Fort Kochi centre. The huge local breakfasts serve every morning were a real highlight. Internet was strong and fast. Access to the clothes washing machine and the roof area to dry clothes on was really handy. The family opened the guesthouse a few months ago and I am sure they will have great success - I look forward to returning!
