It was VERY clean and fresh. New. The layout and furniture were great. The lobby looked nice and guest services was welcoming and efficient. They honored my request for two adjoining rooms. Location near the airport was excellent and made for a very easy departure.
The blinking fire detector light right above the bed...FLASHING...ALLL NIGHT! What a horrible design in an otherwise perfect room. A bandaid over the light was the best we could do. How do they expect people to sleep?
Our experience in Richmond, in general, witnessed a very rundown and impoverished city. While this hotel shares a niche corner with several other nice and newer hotels, the area is by no means posh or modern.

The hotel was super nice. Smelled brand new, was clean and very friendly staff.
The breakfast choices were limited, but sufficient.
