The location - village about 15 min walk from accommodation. Easy access to river and very peaceful balcony/decking. Location makes the property. Great access to hikes and walks nearby. Design was quirky.

Electrics - recurring issue with bathroom light in the twin room caused a fault with the electrical box (all the power kept cutting out). Hot tub - looking a bit tired. Multiple jet nozzles missing, cover for control panel peeling, and generally just a bit run down. Perhaps some plastic cups should be provided for drinks/water in the hot tub as glass is a big no. Stains on carpet - mainly in the twin room at the base of the bed closest to the door and on the white sheepskin style rugs. Didn’t bother us so to speak, just one which could be sorted out. TV in double room, honestly it’s nice to have as an option but it is old and honestly not worth using. Dog friendly - absolutely love that this place was dog friendly. However, the decking could benefit from a proper, fixed gate next to the front door and there is a sizeable gap next to the hot tub (I appreciate that this is for opening the lid) however dogs and children could easily jump down this gap and get out under the decking. (Only an issue because of the proximity to the road) we ended up making a make shift gate with the outdoor chairs provided. Bin bag disposal could have been mentioned on arrival, and not on departure. We felt a bit stumped for most of the week (until a neighbour emptied their bins into the correct place), we ended up having to store dog poo bags at the front door as we didn’t know where to dispose of them. Overall, the place was lovely. Did the price reflect the accommodation? Probably (and sadly) not, it did feel slightly steep considering. This message is by no means a reason not to book! The location is great and the view is lovely. These are mainly suggestions to the host/owner as to what could be improved at Crannog. It would also be nice, especially given the cost, if the host would consider a wee welcome pack? Like things to do in the area, dog walking routes or things like that?

The position of the property. It overlooked the river. Was peaceful. During the summer there is a caravan park so it may be different

I felt for the money we paid that the interior design could have been more upgraded. The kitchen could have been better equipped.
