Peaceful and extremely private. A very romantic setting in a rural county close to the sea. A beautiful hideaway.
Not much to say here - you’ll need a car but there’s an excellent local taxi for a trip to and from the pub!

What a stunning place! We absolutely loved the natural swimming pool, it's so peaceful and beautiful, and the reflection of the castle is just magical. The whole outdoor space is amazing - the covered patio for breakfast, the gardens, and the little details like the rocking chair and swing. Inside, the design is gorgeous, so light and airy with the big glass doors and skylights looking straight out to the pool. Waking up with a coffee in bed with that view was perfect. The tennis court with the castle backdrop is also such a bonus.
Only tiny thing was the bed felt more like a sofa bed with a gap in the middle, so not the most comfortable for sleeping. It didn't bother us too much though and didn't spoil the stay at all.

The castle and grounds made the property exceptional. The Garden House where we stayed was private, serene, and beautiful. Ann gave us a tour of the castle and some history of the family, both of which were fascinating. It was a unique experience in all the best ways. The walk around the grounds and the walled garden were beautiful as well.
The bathroom was tiny and water pressure in the shower was low. No phone signal and no wireless internet made it difficult to communicate, but this “off-the-grid” experience will be a selling point for some and added to the historic feel of the place.
