The lovely quiet environment on the first day. The scenery was amazing.
The event that turned up right outside our lodge early Saturday spoiled the peace. The single beds are very small too.

Every thing was great only one issue. The grounds was spotless. Restraint spotless when beyond to put banners and balloons and choc in ghe Lodge for partners 60th ( at a cost )
Dog hairs on the double bed . No issue have dogs allowed in the loges but have separate cove on for dogs to prevent this from happening especially if people have allergies to pet hair . Was rectified the next day.

Clean and modern . It wasn’t as clean as some we have stayed in for example the general areas where clean and the bathrooms but the utensils were a bit dirty and crumbs in all the drawers . The windows needed a clean and the grass was long but got cut in our last day . A little hamper of teabags and small essentials would have been lovely . The bathrooms are nice and the shower is amazing it’s so powerful! We all had multiple showers . Little mini soaps would have made it feel luxurious. The onsite restaurant is really nice and great for kids to play. The food is lovely and the staff and service are nice . The grounds are lovely . We had a great day on Allerthorpe lake but you have to book tickets so we only managed one day. We also went down to the cancan to paddle board which was lovely . They left a fan and double blow up which was a lovely extra if needed .
The drawers needed cleaning and no little luxuries . The two smaller bedrooms are tiny they get so so hot on a hot day and didn’t feel comfy leaving the window open with the kids as it opens the full way.
