I stayed at Kimpton Era Midtown for my first New York Fashion Week and really enjoyed my experience. The Midtown location was incredibly convenient for getting to shows, events, shopping, and around the city. I also loved the modern design of the hotel and the natural lighting in my room.
The staff made the experience even more memorable. John, Macarena, the manager at Amasa, and Jorge, the bartender, were all incredibly welcoming and added such a personal touch to my stay.
After long days of shows, walking around the city, and taking in NYFW, it was nice to come back to a hotel that felt stylish, comfortable, and inviting. I would absolutely stay here again.
The main area that could have been improved was cleanliness. The bathroom and the floor near the entrance to my room did not feel as thoroughly cleaned as I would have expected. I also noticed standing water in the ice buckets near the water station. None of these issues ruined my stay, but I would have appreciated a little more attention to detail with housekeeping and the common areas.

Really appreciated the room upgrade when our room wasn’t ready at check in.
Room was not ready at check in and the daily fee was unexpected for a water bottle that I don’t want or need. Soda was not restocked as they said it would be.

Location and food
Reserved a higher floor room with king size bed and view empire state building. When arrived was told my room not availableand moved to 8 floor. No view and 2 small beds. The room was smaller and not whatI paid for..
