The location is great and very easy to access from both the train station and the town centre. The rooms were clean and modern enough with a fresh bathroom.
Sound proofing is simply non-existent. The property is adjacent to a road and although it's not a busy road at night, every passing car will be heard and felt like you're standing on the sidewalk. If you're a light sleeper it will be pretty much impossible to sleep unless you're packing a heavy-duty set of earplugs.
Also there were no available power sockets anywhere - had to unplug a kettle to charge my phone.

Location to town (5min walk to town and station) and although a pub the rooms are not in same building or above the pub, motel like rooms are off the car parking with easy access and no stairs.

The location was great, easy to walk into the town centre
The room we were given had a window with a huge gap in it, allowing noise and cold air into the room. The front door had a 5p piece hole about the lock. The bathroom door had no latch or stay, so couldn’t be closed or locked.
Towels were marked - probably clean but looked dirty.
