Bait and switch London accomodation scam, avoid this place like the plague!
I was never able to access the property, as it was not available, or even existed. The owner demanded a 300 pound deposit upfront before telling me that the property was not actually available. Biggest scumbag on the earth. this scumbag scammer 'owner' was so kind to rehouse me in another property 45 minutes down the road. How nice of him? But I booked this one, so either give me the keys or give me a full refund. this is quite clearly a bait an switch scam where the owner doesn't actually run the property you rented and tries to rehouse you in another one down the road that is cheaper for them to book.
I was unable to collect the keys as the property does not exist. After asking for a 300 pound deposit, and asking me to wait until 4pm to checkin, at exactly 4pm, the 'owner' of the property called me and tried to put me in another property that was 45 minutes down the road. This was not practical, or fair. I requested a full refund as they cannot host me in the property that I originally booked (and I don't believe it ever existed, as the front of the property is a Pharmacy).

La posizione
Abbiamo scelto questa casa perché rispondeva a esigenze ben precise: pulizia, presenza di lavatrice, aria condizionata e, soprattutto, una cucina completa con piano cottura e forno funzionanti. Viaggiamo con due ragazzi affetti da gravi allergie alimentari, che si nutrono prevalentemente di pasta, quindi poter cucinare non era un comfort, ma una necessità.
L'appartamento si trova in un quartiere residenziale tranquillo e pulito. I mezzi pubblici sono raggiungibili in circa 10 minuti a piedi e questo è sicuramente un aspetto positivo.
Purtroppo, già all'arrivo abbiamo constatato che uno dei servizi indicati nell'annuncio non era presente: l'aria condizionata, che per noi era uno dei requisiti fondamentali nella scelta della struttura.
L'esperienza è stata poi fortemente compromessa dalla cucina. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato una sola pentola e una padella molto usurata. Fin dai primi tentativi di utilizzo è stato evidente che il piano cottura non funzionava correttamente: non si accendeva, o, quando si accendeva si spegneva dopo pochi secondi. Di conseguenza ci è stato impossibile cucinare la pasta, alimento essenziale per i nostri figli.
Abbiamo segnalato immediatamente il problema sia alla struttura sia a Booking. Soltanto dopo cinque giorni è intervenuto un tecnico che non è stato comunque in grado di risolvere il problema. Questo ci ha causato molto stress e ha costretto i nostri ragazzi a un'alimentazione non adeguata alle loro esigenze.
Inoltre, la cucina era poco attrezzata: mancavano canovacci, asciugamani, sottopentola, presine, teglie da forno e l'apriscatole. Mancava anche lo scolapasta: capisco che la pasta non sia un piatto tipico della cucina londinese, ma in un appartamento dotato di cucina è comunque un utensile che ci si aspetta di trovare. Per poter utilizzare almeno il forno siamo stati costretti ad acquistare personalmente le teglie.
