The property was far enough away but not too far from getting out and enjoying time in PF and Gatlinburg. It was peaceful and had beautiful views. It was also small and cozy and stayed comfortably cold which was nice in the extreme heat. It rained during our stay and I enjoyed relaxing in the top floor bedroom listening to the rain hit the roof. Overall was very relaxing. My family made great memories and there was plenty of room for 7 of us. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows provided which was nice. We also got to see a cute bear on the front porch on our first day. It was really neat. At this cabin, we didn’t have issues like we normally do with bears. We make multiple trips each year to this area and this is the first time a bear didn’t break into my car!! So it had the perfect amount of bear activity. 😊 and for that, I was thankful.
The lower deck and middle deck had string lights out on the deck area and a picnic table and chairs for additional eating/seating. We loved how our entire family had plenty of room to hang out. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, pretty much everything you could possibly need while there. The coffee pot was awesome and we had plenty of stock for kcups, sugar, etc.
My absolute favorite mention of this stay was the upstairs bedroom. It was absolutely beautiful and the bed was a dream. The view waking up each morning was incredible. Five stars for sure for the cabin, views, and location.
My only complaint is the cabin charges a decent cleaning fee but we found old trash, hair in drains, dirty windows, sticky surfaces, and lighting issues. Also the Roku service wouldn’t connect. The property owner tried to resolve the tv issue but we couldn’t get it and just did without for the week. Not necessarily a negative thing. For the other issues we experienced, we received poor customer support and was refused a resolution or partial refund (of the cleaning fee) for the cabin not being clean when we arrived. I was called a liar and my words were twisted as they tried to make it seem like I was trying to blackmail them. I was not. I was asked by them and spoke the truth. I guess they didn’t like to hear it.
However, I would still recommend the cabin to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay. We won’t return to this property strictly based off of the customer services after our stay. But we would have absolutely loved to return. It’s unfortunate that this is what soured the experience.
