Located in a local authority housing area, the accommodation is large but of student digs standard.

Clean, plenty of space, beds comfortable, location convenient

Where do I start. A change of location was advised last minute due to "original location being trashed" It was good to be offered an alternative, but why not advise this as soon as the need was known ie when the property was cleaned? We were told this only when we called, as required, an hour before the 1600 entry. This delay meant that we had already travelled to Edinburgh and, with the Festival on, had but a limited chance of finding an alternative. So, we accepted. But the promised 'luxury' alternative was not. It was large, but the overwhelming impression was a smell of damp and disuse. The damp smell appeared to stem from the cupboard bathroom, and once cleared returned when the property was closed down. The flat was large, with excellent potential, but all was very tired and poorly furnished. The living room furniture was poorly assembled with loose screws, some of which we were able to tighten. Blinds throughout were working but all were damaged. Some floors were bouncy with poorly joined laminate making the odd toe hazard. Flaking chrome on the bathroom cabinet handle was a cut hazard. Several windows were of doubtful opening with one in the living room dangerous: once opened it hung from only one corner. The living room ceiling was panelled with polystyrene tiles, a fire risk unless of a modern fire resistant type - which the parlous state of the decoration made unlikely. The appliances in the kitchen were new but had no instructions, nor was there any written information regarding the property eg emergency numbers, stop cocks for gas and water. There were no tablets for the dish washer and only two of the pans provided were suitable for use with the induction hob. The taps in the main bathroom were initially inoperable due to sticking washers - although these did free up after being 'worked'. On the plus side the beds were good and all was well cleaned.

Regular

Fuimos una noche de paso porque estaba cerca del aeropuerto. No volvería.
