Such a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. I absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom and shower, and the whole property is gorgeous, especially the garden and pool area. I only wish I’d had more days to properly relax and take it all in! The resident dogs were also the cutest addition to the stay.
There are very well-equipped kitchen facilities, although I didn’t get a chance to use them. The beach and main area are only about a 10-minute walk away, so the location is really convenient while still feeling peaceful. The staff were very friendly, kind and accommodating. I would happily stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay at Mariposa that we ended up extending our booking not once but twice!! It felt like a little paradise tucked away in between Hiriketiya and Dickwella beaches which are both within walking distance. The hosts Matty and Emi plus the four dogs Daisy, Franky, Sola and Lupa really made it feel like a home away from home. The room was spacious, and the pool surrounded by a beautiful garden was a real bonus for the extra lazy days we had. Would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Hiri!

Such a great place to stay if you want a chill yet still social atmosphere just a few mins walk from Hiriketiya village and beach. The rooms are super nice, clean and spacious, the garden is lovely and has a mango tree (fresh fruit is shared for free!). Most of all Angus, Matty & the dogs make this such a warm environment with a community feel. Love what they have created. Thanks for having me!
