About this house rental
If you want a country setting with great views and wildlife with your own private pond, this hidden gem is the place for you. Not far from Carlisle/Newville, or Shippensburg. With three cozy bedrooms featuring a queen, full, and 2 twin beds, guests find plenty of space to relax all on one floor. The three bathrooms include both a bathtub and a shower, making it easy to refresh after a day of adventure at Colonel Denning State Park, Kings Gap or Carlisle Fair grounds. With a large eat-in kitchen stocked with the basic essential tools to stay in and make meals. Lower level family room and 1/2 bath provide additional space to relax and unwind. Climate control keeps the house comfortable year-round, whether you want to cool down or warm up. This property was beautifully maintained and cared for. The home was exceptionally clean upon arrival, and it had a few nice touches to make you feel welcome. The property around the home is well cared for and offers opportunities for outdoor exploration. The pond is adorable; my kids loved fishing in it. The proximity to the house is great because the kids could spend time there on their own while the grown-ups relaxed inside or cooked, but if your kids are little, supervision would be needed given how accessible it is. The house boasts a great collection of games and puzzles, plus a TV in the downstairs recreation area, giving you a great indoor space to keep kids busy on rainy days. The only "negative" things worth mentioning are that the information for accessing the property was a little tricky to find the way it was embedded in the propety details (though this may be more of a VRBO issue then a propery issue) it did take us a few minutes to figure out what door we were meant to use to enter the property, and the area is quite dark at night so if you arrive in the night bring a flashlight as the outdoor lights were not so we couldn't see the entry areas easily. Overall the proprty is beautiful, well maintained, welcoming, and we would definately stay there again.
