Stayed at the Inn the night prior to our cruise through the inside passage that departed the next evening. Everything was very nice and the weather was magnificent! The only difficult issue was finding a shuttle to Whittier a day prior to cruise departure. It would be nice for the Inn to have a shuttle (you could charge for it) from Anchorage to Whittier. We were able to book one through Trip Advisor/Viator only to find out several days before, that the paid for shuttle didn't travel to Whittier that day(only on cruise days). Fortunately we called to verify and Viator had still confirmed a pickup on Friday - but something didn't sound right. So we contacted the shuttle driver who said, "we go to Seward on Friday, not Whittier". Even a pickup from Girdwood to Whittier on that prior cruise day would be helpful.
Can't think of anything other than the shuttle.

The Inn was great! The view was fantastic! The restaurant was really good food and they even fixed us lunch the day we went fishing and then cooked some of our fish we caught that evening. Definitely recommend.

Location
No breakfast available in the hotel. Restaurant very limited food and very expensive. No shuttle service. No outside seating. Toiletries supplied poor quality.
