Really good central location
Plenty of space
Relatively Clean
Value for money given booked over easter weekend and good location, however we did have a discount code-however given issues highlighted below i would suggest it was expensive for what we got, especially given no compensation was offered
Repairs needed to the property to make it safe and suitable for future guests
Door handles on many of the doors were quite loose and on our final night a handle broke on a bedroom door and door could not be opened. Owner was on holiday but did send his uncle who had to kick the door in to open it within the hour .
We were extremely lucky that our children (3 and 6 years old) were not in the room or that there was not an emergency situation (eg a fire). No compensation was offered and really we felt there was lack or regard or apology for the seriousness of the situation and the distress this caused our child, in addition to putting a dampener to our last night - plus an exhausted child the next day after a late night
Bathroom door wouldn't shut as couldn't be pushed past the floor (not sure if floor was raised/swollen or door hanging low- so stayed pretty wide open- OK for a close family, not for groups of friends!
Asked for a £100 deposit the day before in order to get check in details- not advertised in advance - bit annoying
Beds were extremely uncomfortable
Some necessary utensils etc missing from the kitchen eg. Only 2 cereal bowls, no strainer but dozens of random glasses in different cupboards! Some kitchen equipment was quite dirty.
Very loud, we kept checking if windows were open!
Thicker blinds or curtains needed in front bedroom
Off street parking £5 per day. Property is on the top floor with lots if steps- wouldn'tbe suitablefor those with mobilityissues or pram(for awareness for future guests)
