Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Kallio, a vibrant neighborhood with excellent public transport and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops within walking distance. The apartment is just steps from the Karhupuisto tram stop, making it very easy to reach from the railway station. Kallio Church and a small park are also nearby.
Access was straightforward, with the key collected from a key box near the railway station. The apartment is on the third floor of a residential building without an elevator.
The apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a refrigerator, microwave, oven, washing machine, hair dryer, and excellent Wi-Fi. The bathroom is small but functional, and the IKEA pull-out bed was surprisingly comfortable.
Our first impression was somewhat mixed, as the apartment felt basic and a little worn, and some mattress protectors appeared stained. Guests are also expected to put on the bed linen themselves, which is worth knowing in advance.
The biggest drawback is the location of the tram stop directly outside the building. While this is extremely convenient, trams can be clearly heard during the day, even with the windows closed. It was quieter in the evenings, but light sleepers may find this disturbing. The building itself was otherwise very quiet.
The blinds provide privacy but do not block much daylight, so blackout curtains would be a useful improvement. A few other minor details, such as the improvised key-fob attachment and lack of a TV, could also be improved.
With some cosmetic renovation and better sound insulation, this could be an excellent accommodation. As it stands, it offers good value, a fantastic location, and all the essentials for a short stay in Helsinki.
The microwave oven could use a little more thorough cleaning. It would also be helpful to have a few additional hangers in the wardrobe, suitable for hanging sweaters and other heavier clothing

Kallio ist ein nettes Viertel, mit vielen Restaurants, Supermärkten in der Nähe und guter Lage, man kann ins Zentrum laufen. Das Appartement ist ruhig und nett. Das Badezimmer ist klein, aber sehr fein. Das Mobiliar ist Ikea, eher einfache Ausstattung. Preis-Leistung ist gut.

Rappuset oli vähän nihkeet jos teet jotain urheilullista. Mutta muuten paikka on todella viihtyisä.
