Fabulous location, beautiful scenery and hike! Loved riding up on the funicular! Beautiful scenery! You have to experience it!!!

Astonishing views, great “old-timey” Swiss feel. Felt a bit exclusive since the trains take anyone not staying at the hotel down the mountain in the early evening. If able-bodied, make sure to do the 10 mile hike from the hotel to Grindewald First! Great staff, awesome food, authentic feel. 10 stars isn’t enough!
Not really a “dislike” but the bathroom is shared and there’s no soap provided. Also, make sure you don’t miss the last train coming up or down!

Wunderbare Lage mit einmaliger Aussicht! Gutes, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Gute Möglichkeiten für verschiedene Rundwanderungen „vor Ort“.
Bestellungen für à la Carte Essen werden nur bis 18:00 Uhr entgegengenommen. Das Restaurant schliesst bereits um 21:00 Uhr. Das Personal vorallem bei der Reception war bei Fragen nicht sonderlich hilfsbereit und hilfreich. Check in und Check out ziemlich nüchtern. Die nostalgischen Zimmer sind mit Schnick-Schnack überfüllt, so dass praktisch keine Ablagefläche frei ist. Weniger wäre mehr, wohl auch für das Putzpersonal.
