The staff was awesome and very friendly.The breakfast was great and overall I have a wonderful stay and would recommend this Hawthorn to anyone.

The location was great due to the hotel being close to the airport. 18-20 minutes from all tourist sights like Broadway, 12south and the Gulch. Local mall is 9 minutes away along with retail stores like DG you can run into to grab snacks and essentials.
2 days prior to arrival I sent a email requesting early check-in. Upon arrival I was meet by Arriss who appeared to be very agitated. I tried to explain we were extremely early. He cut me off talking loud like I was trying to attack him. I was just trying to explain. He stated early check-in was first come. However, he wouldn't listen kept over talking me. He then stated he would call once a room was available upon arrival I told him my name yet he called my daughter who had checked in a day earlier who wasn't with us. So I never got the call that a room was ready; after coming back to the hotel Arriss act as if he couldn't find my reservation my spouse and I were forced to wait an additional 30 minutes. I was highly irritable. ONLY to watch this young man treat other visitors the same way. It was terrible customer service. He needs customer service training and he needs to stop alll the fake apologies. 😤 On Saturday I sat in the lobby and watched a set of young women check guest in with no problems and with ease. Sad to say he was back on Sunday when I was checking out. 😑
