Slightly odd subdivision of a larger house - but it more or less works

Good location close to East Finchley tube. Needed to extend our stay and host was helpful with making that possible even as booking.com process didn't work well. Was nervous about paying offline but it went ok without issues.

There were several small issues: - The bathroom in the unit is extremely small and in particular there isn't much space to sit on the toilet. Also oddly there's no mirror in that room at all - and it took us a week to find the only mirror in the unit which seemed to be hidden. - The hot water situation was poor for the first few days but eventually improved. - The walls of the unit are very thin - easy to hear people staying in other subdivisions, in particular one night one unit had a party with loud music all night which made it difficult to sleep. - The host (and booking.com) were not particularly responsive/communicative. I didn't end up needing them much so it turned out ok but it made the start of the stay confusing. - Would've been helpful to have a second set of keys so my partner and I could enter the unit separately.

The value for the money and experience is quite low.

The host was responsive and made an effort to bring additional items on the first evening. The apartment appears recently renovated and has potential.

We stayed for 3 nights in an apartment booked for three people, but unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations. There were no towels or bedding provided for the third person upon arrival. To be fair, the host came on the first evening and brought a pillow, towel, and a duvet, which seemed to be newly purchased. However, the duvet was not washed or placed into bedding, so it was not properly prepared for use. The kitchen was missing basic essentials – no dishwashing detergent, only one glass, one cup, and cutlery for two people. The TV was not working and was not even installed (it appeared to be newly bought, still with protective film on), which gave the impression that the apartment was not fully ready for guests. Although the apartment seems recently renovated, many surfaces were stained with paint, and the carpet had multiple visible stains, which affected the overall cleanliness impression. The location is about one hour away from central London by public transport, and considering the price of around €150 per night, the value for money is quite low.
