For my type of traveller, this accommodation is perfection, I wish I could find one in every city I visit solo. Location: it is 1km, 14 minutes on foot, from Skanderbeg square, the touristic centre where the Luna airport bus drops you. The last 100m you leave the broad traffic-filled boulevard and enter a quiet oasis of calm in a smaller street. The accommodation used to be part of a cafe (with great google reviews) but was forced to close (the host Rei can explain why). Facilities: the room itself is tiny, not enough room to swing a cat (a very friendly one will come and rub against your legs if you sit outside for very long), it used to be a corridor. However it has a long single bed (I am over 1.9 m so appreciated it), a toilet and shower, wifi electricity and a fan. Also a lovely little private sitting area outside undercover from which you can watch life go by. I preferred to go out a little further, where Rei has set up chidren's play equipment, an arcade game, even a little library of books. Community: For me the big plus was being able to see a cross-section of Albanian society first hand. Rei is a really good English speaker (his Italian fluent) , and has a lot to say about Albanian history and politics, but cannot talk for more than a couple of minutes without having to exchange a few words with a passing friend or neighbour. It felt like he knew everybody. There is a group of really friendly young men Rei calls the boys who hang around the place chatting, smoking and drinking coffee. I believe some previous reviewers have expressed concern about the safety of the area. I can understand that a group of young men talking animatedly in a language you don't understand is scary, but they were really nice to me when I made the effort to try to communicate with them. Their English is not as good as Rei's, but they were very patient and chatted around me as well as with me.

Hot water was VERY hot, be careful

Príjemná lokalita v pešej vzdialenosti od centra. Výborná komunikácia s ubytovateľom. Vo vybavení je fén na vlasy, ohrievač aj ventilátor. Napriek tomu, že je to BOX, je tam denné svetlo.

Kúpeľňa bez umývadla

This was the most convenient location a one can ever have. Seriously, everything like nice cafes, supermarkets, good restos were just in few min of walking distance. Rej was super friendly and he is one of a very kind soul I came across. I would strongly recommend his property.

The location is okayish. The host was friendly.

Very small accommodation, just a bed and a wc-shower combo. No real space for your stuff if you'd like to unpack.
