Comfy

Have a water station instead of having to ask staff. Would be great to have a communal microwave to heat up food.

I got robbed

I got robbed Stay in 6 mix dorm hostel on 9feb. At first im alone. Evening theres 2 guys checkin. I lock my bag in a cabinet with my padlock. In the morning i only left for 30mins breakfast. The padlock is still okay but inside of my wallet they took 1 debit card. 100 usd and 290.000 crc. I block the debit card. Theres a trial to use my credit card that is not stolen but its still in the wallet on 14th feb. They try to make it look like not a robbery so you wouldnt realize. The hostel still charge me on the 3 nights i stayed and they dont come with me to the police station. And they only have the data of one guy that checkin. Maybe they are teams ? I dont know.

Usually a very good hotel just be prepared for large noisy groups at times

People are nice and the room is nice.

People on the balcony were loud and obnoxious all night. They did not care that it was 2 in the morning.

Perfect location, nice customer service, and very delisous food. Plus price was awesome.

I loved the location, it is just in the downtown of San Jose, plus everything is around the corner, food, tourist places, parks, museums. All that just in a 5-minute walk.

Superb

Very friendly staff, big room, we were upgraded to a room with a private bathroom as one was available. Good hot shower, really nice breakfast of scrambled eggs, fruit and coffee.

Disappointing

The window in my room did not shut properly and i had to wedge something in to close it. The bed was dirty and had pieces of debris under the sheet. Very thin walls and very busy street.

Easy to check in.

The walls were paper thin and you could hear your neighbors. In addition, very busy road and cars driving by all night were loud.

expect old fashioned equipment and solon ave is busy road, so noicy from outside

Does the Trick

The decoration and breakfast

The staff, bathrooms and rooms were not well cleaned. Someone from the hotel tried to show my room to other people while I was there.

Pleasant

Close to Tica bus. Decent room, bathroom with a hot shower. Bed ok. Perfect stay for going on the Tica bus.

We paid for a room including breakfast and according to their website we would make it. By arriving they told us the breakfast was later and they where not offering anything. We had to take the Tica bus at 7.00. Hostel is located at a very busy road which starts at 5.30. ok if you have to take an early bus. I think the people who worked there where nice, sadly it seems that there where no quests.

Good for a stopover before moving on

The hotel was an older building, which had a lot of charm. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The room was a little small. Once we got our bags in, there wasn't much floor space left! You get what you pay for, and I didn't pay much, so I can't complain. The location wasn't great... there weren't any bars close by and only one restaurant. I didn't feel very safe when we strayed off the main road the hotel is located on. My bed squeaked every time I moved.

Perfect place to crash for a few nights. Bus from airport stopped right outside the door

It was a good few blocks from the centre of the city but fairly close to lots of bus depots!
