The family 'hotel' provided soap & a towel and I really appreciated the air-conditioning in my room, as well as the flowers & incense. Fahad & I communicated through Google translate & that worked well. He kindly picked me up on his motor bike (a boy carried my cabin-size bag) when I arrived (by tuk-tuk from the Al Balyana train station) at the Temple grounds (by the police check point). It's a short (less than 10 min) walk to the Seti Temple. Fahad made sure I had all I needed to enjoy my short stay in Abydos🤩⭐⭐⭐
Anyone intending to come here should communicate with the hotel before-hand to arrange pick-up at the police check point.
It's difficult to find the first time you arrive as there's no hotel name or signs. It's actually a house on the street behind the main street.
