Lovely property in a perfect position in Rye. Spacious double bedrooms, great kitchen and private safe car parking space. In easy waking distance of everything.

The location of the flat was excellent with parking right in the centre of Rye. The flat is nicely decorated. The bedrooms are a good size. The bathroom is in good shape. The sitting room is cosy. The kitchen is well equipped (see below for comments on the fridge). The dining area is absolutely fine.

The front bedroom near the road is affected by traffic noise and pub leavers. The stairs are dangerous. Although there is a stair rail we feel the owner also needs to install grab rails on the opposite side of the stairs as the stairs are steep and the tread is very shallow so you cannot get a good foothold on the stairs. Until grab rails are installed I would say the flat is not suitable for the old, the infirm, the young (too hazardous), anyone likely to be even slightly under the influence of alcohol. As soon as the grab rails are in the flat I would recommend it more wholeheartedly. You cannot avoid using the stairs as the bathroom/loo is upstairs. We were very cautious going up and going down the stairs. Carrying our bags up was nerve wracking. There are a number of other reviews where the stairs are mentioned as being problematic - it is time to sort them out. The owner should produce a folder with information about the local area and places to visit, details of local restaurants, internet details, doctors surgery, local hospitals, emergency contact details for during our stay etc. It is unusual for a booked place not to have valuable information for the visitors. We also felt the unused key hole should be blocked off so that there is no confusion about which key hole to use when entering the flat. The seat pads around the dining table do not fit the seats adequately which is unattractive and slippery. The fridge is too small and too low on the ground. The cupboard by the window should be removed and a full size fridge put there in its place. I think joining instructions should include the fact that the flat is immediately behind Jempson's supermarket so visitors do not circle around in confusion wondering why the sat nav takes them into the supermarket car park. These comments are intended to be helpful. The flat has much to offer but there are things that need improving.

Location next to the supermarket and the historical center of the town. Spacious premises and own free parking. The building itself is not new (though it doesn't seem to be historical) it seems to be renovated relatively recently. And an owner tried to make it in a quality way.

The floor is dirty. Very dirty. Especially on the ground floor. Please consider changing the carpet like floor cover to something that can be easily cleaned. The bathroom to the contrary is rather clean. And it was very hot inside. No air-conditioning, just a ventilator. And it didn't help much

Great location, really close to station and a few minutes walk into Rye. Lovely house with everything you need.
