Country Club Motel

Location, in the main street. Have dinner at hotel then 20 steps to the room. Walk to bakery for brekky too.

The location is right in the heart of Stanthorpe, accessible to the main street, behind the Country Club which is a great venue with a great menu. It is also walking distance to the main street with cafes, shops, banks, pharmacies at your feet. Other popular locations are within walking distance or close driving distance. As it is a smaller accommodation building you get some relative privacy. The rooms are a good size, the bathrooms are roomy with a good shower. With some rooms having 3 single beds that are comfortable it caters to a group booking. For the price it’s a nice overnight or two night stay.

That there was no upfront payment for booking with great cancellation options for free too. The motel exceeded my expectations, when we arrived it just looked like a normal motel from the outside but inside was the absolute cleanest, nicest, modern and well appointed motel room I’ve ever stayed in yet! Such great value for money!

The only thing I didn’t love was the plastic kettle and the soap bars, while we so appreciate having soap there, we’re incredibly drying on the skin. Perhaps another brand of soap and a stainless steel kettle would make this motel from fantastic to perfection.

Walking distance to all shops etc.

The amenities were basic. We also had to request extra soap and replacement towels. No cleaning during our three night stay
